Sad to think the Proteas needed the Ozzies to choke for them to win. That was an easy as you want wicket to bat on, and on home soil in front of a home crowd they should have stomped on an average Oz side.
Instead, they remain the Thorn Birds, impaling themselves with the likes of Miller, Bavuma, De Kock and De Zorzi who were assisted by a thoughtless attack.
How many times do you retread an old and worn tyre? Where are the promising young bats?
