Ja. We always spoke Matt Proudfoot but camp Daan has almost become like tongue in cheek where all the props go to work on their scrumming. Wasn't our top prop back in the day. But he became a legend in France and won many trophies at Toulon or Toulouse, can't remember quite when.
But you see Rassie talking about him in the docu series. Much loved hard nose and dry person.
What surprised me was that both Boan and Du Toit were already dominating the scrums and yet they felt at minute 40 to bring in quadzilla aka Wilco and Stenekamp. Both monster props with Wilco now pushing 144kg and Stenekamp 135kg but 194cm tall.
The Irish props had no chance if you thing that Thomas is also a huge unit at over 135kg. But unlike the kiwis that are equally as big, Daan can actually get the boys to scrum.
Then you have Ox, not the biggest by any stretch but he has the best technique in the game.
A thing of beauty and I do wish they can show people what actually happens up front. Just need better camera work
