But I’m not a fan of the mix of articles and members posts

Surely they can be separated as they were on the old board?

How’s it going boys and girls, did you miss me? I certainly did not miss you wankers 😜

If you click on Forum, and then go to rugby, it gives the board without the news articles.

Welcome back @Saffolk
I agree with @Chippo - for old time sakes, give us a list.
or maybe give us your thoughts on our U20 team? Unreal - generational talent in that team.
I am a huge fan of Yaqeen Ahmed.

I’m crediting Moz for my return. I received an email from him today reaching out which I appreciated.

Part of me was not moved to return, I was not missing the board and it had left a sour taste, but many of us go back, there is history here and Moz’s reach reminded me of that.

As for my lists, fuck me they have been occupying my head for months, I need an outlet to set them free 😜

Flash as for the Under 20’s, I’ve watched every one of their games this year and loved it. They are a great side for the most and yes Yaqeen Ahmed is next level at 10. He will be Sacha’s back up for years to come. Forget Moyo - he is solid and that’s it. Ahmed is special as is Siyaya at 15, who is unfortunately missing out on this comp thanks to the concussion he sustained playing for the SA A side. I love Jooste on the wing, he is another gem as is Ethan Adams at 12. Markus Muller is yet to measure up to the hype. He is freakishly strong and has a good offload, but I want to see more magic from him on attack. Time is on his side - give me Jurenzo Julius anyday.

Gilliomee is good but I need to see more. I like the two 9’s very busy and give the side some zip. Schoeman is stocky so effective in close quarters

The forwards are solid nothing out of this world. They miss Norton at 5, who while good, certainly did not merit the Bok elevation he has received. Same applies to Moyo at 10. The props are good in particular Rambo and Reid. Really sad to see Kai Pratt test positive for steroids. Mnebelele at hooker has disappointed me a little - I had him as our next Marx - I thought I’d see him being more dominant than he has been. The loosies are good but have failed to stamp any authority in the bigger games. The locks are solid but lack grunt.

For me this side lacks a big bruiser at 4 and a big physical blindside. They could have had that, had they selected Jacques Botha ((2.06m & 128kg) signed with Stade Frances. Reserve lock
Orange should be playing 7 - he is abrasive but not tall enough for lock

Let’s hope they beat France in the final on Saturday

Watched the SA Schools side lose to the SA Schools A side today 34-33 - bit embarrassing for the side and selectors. The starting 15 secured a 21-7 lead at halftime with both sides making wholesale changes at halftime only to let the A side walk away with the honours. What an amazing achievement by my old school which has all of 500 boys from 5 to 18 yrs who had 4 players across the 2 squads (2 in each)

"Gilliomee is good but I need to see more"
... you clearly haven't been watching a lot of rugby!
He is sensational. But I don't like the fact that he is going to the Bulls. They'll stifle his creativity.

Kai Pratt - Absolute moron.
Orange (once i get used to saying his firtht name) - Agree, he looks proper and he is pacy. So maybe a PSdT type of player in the future?

Muller - Ya i agree... he hasn't fired yet. He hasn't really let us down either... but i have not seen the brilliance from last year.

Please give us a list!
Maybe a team prediction for the 2027 RWC final (barring any injuries)?

Ola Dawie.

Welcome back.

Do you need help with uploading a profile picture?

PS we waited all season for Juju to inspire us but it never happened.

Plum trust you to miss how good JJ was - is it still Roos at 12?

@Saffolk outside of Hooker Moodie, Henco is the only other proven quantity on your list.

None of the rest have yet stood out at franchise level. Kriel in particular has been disappointing this year. He was just too ordinary too many times and didn't build on the performances of the previous season at all.

Honestly, Kriel's skinny ass brother was more entertaining this year moonlighting at 12 for the Lions and risking his life each time he did so. The Temu 12 - as per Pakie

@Plum disagree the best for me has been JJ along with Henco.

Hooker has had his moments and Moodie has been a little off of late

Agreed on David Kriel he has been average this year but I think that’s because he probably had one foot on his exit plane and Ackers failed to invest in him at 12

Bottom line is, all those on the list have shown me enough to convince me that they have the credentials to be good test players with the more experienced but not past it Willemse at 12

I’d much rather see these guys occupying our 12 and 13 spots than the old brigade who have become very stale.

de Allende and Kriel were at best solid against England and why on earth they are starting against Wales is beyond me

The youngster that excite me the most are JJ and Moodie and for me Willemse is a must at 12, with Hooker as his back up

@Saffolk

Jordan Hendrikse? haha did you bump your head during timeout? I'd rather have Kwam Horn as a flyhalf sub instead of the average Hendrikse.
I also see you have no space for Jesse Kriel? wtf

I must be honest, i like this: 6 Hanekom 7 PSDT 8 Wiese
I have a sneaky suspicion we may see the elevation of Oliver Reid and Cheswill Jooste.

Note the absence of Nortje in all teams above...thus far probably the best performing forward of the Bok season.

I don’t like lightweight locks, never have never will

He is a far better version of Mostert but offers limited physical productivity

He would not smell my Bok squad of 50
