Schalk was never a 6 too big for the role and he spent most of his time targeting contact - the job of a 7. Luke was far better with ball in hand, had a better skill set. Schalk was bigger and stronger who tried to bash his way through everything. It was effective to a certain degree He played his best rugby for Saracens where he started to use his skill set attacking space instead of traffic
