Well at least we have established the link between 6 and 12 is not just accommodating a unique case with Esterhozen. But if you were trying to build that hybrid, Roos seems much more suited to 12 than PdV

I mean, it's inspiring and all, but really it's a bit of a gimmick. And what does it say to Grobbies? To me, between he and Wessels you have two excellent understudies for Marx but they barely get a chance.

We have very good hookers available and very good inside centres. Paul de Villiers is a good openside not a hooker, end of story.
Roos is not an impactful eighthman. He runs like a crazy person with his red face into contact, but doesn't gain much ground. Or he runs away from his support.
He should start playing openside flanker where he can focus on linking with the backline and use his speed. One skill he still needs to learn is fetching.
That being said, I don't think Rassie is very keen on selecting him. I might be wrong, and i hope that for him, but I think it's over.
@Mpower you won't find me disagreeing on that. Especially since I was the first one here to call out Roos for trying to be a smasher when's not really one.
People in the know like Elrigh though. I probably don't know enough agree or disagree but I've seen quite a few talk very positively about him, even if his performances this year haven't made me sit up.
Roos is a psycho. I just wish Rassie could find a use for him. And I really do still think he can do a job in the backline. He's damn quick, powerful for a back, has a good step and a nose for the line. So many of the tires Roos gets are the type you would expect from a guy with 12 on his back. I know Dave agrees 😄
