Biggest plus for me is that the long overdue debut for Ruben v Heerden happens tomorrow. Rassie and his lock blind spot has deprived this very worthy player for far too long. The other being Ruan Vermaak of the Bulls
I loved how Rassie capped all those players for the SA A side vs Zim meaning they are locked in for the next 3 years - the likes of Ruben v Heerden, Andre Smith, Sadie, Hanro Jacobs , Manu Tsituka, Jurenzo Julius, Siyaya, Markus Muller, Mahashe etc
I don’t get the elevation of Moyo and Riley Norton to the Bok squad - both solid youngsters but not special and certainly not more deserving than older locks for instance
Ruan Venter before he got injured was on fire and boy oh boy how good has Mahashe been for the Lions. Paul de Villiers looks like he belongs in test rugby. Loved the brute force Cobus Wiese brought against Scotland, he needs to be invested in more at 4.
Was impressed how were turned things around against England after their comeback late in the first half. Impressive considering we were without Eben, RG, Siya, Wilco, Sacha and we lost Ox early. Zac Porthen is proving a real find at 3
