Gloucester Rugby has strengthened its team with New Zealand natives Callum McCabe and Halen King, who have both joined the squad on short-term contracts that could potentially become permanent. The young talents, ages 19 and 20 respectively, have transitioned from the Chiefs' youth ranks and the New Zealand U20s team to the challenging arenas of PREM Rugby.

The Cherry and Whites have been active in the market, also securing talents like Jac Morgan, Dewi Lake, Jean Kleyn, and Eliot Salt ahead of the new season. These additions are part of Gloucester's strategic build to enhance their team dynamics and performance.
Turning to Northampton Saints, the club has promoted Jim Henry to defence coach, succeeding Lee Radford who has moved on to a coaching role in Scotland. Henry, who previously nurtured his skills with Bedford Blues and within Northampton's own setup, steps into this critical role with a wealth of experience from various coaching capacities.
“I’m delighted to have this opportunity at Saints. This is a prestigious club with an outstanding coaching group and an incredibly talented playing squad. It’s a role I’ve been working towards over the last few seasons. I’ve been fortunate to work closely alongside Radders [Lee Radford] and take on defensive responsibilities with Bedford as well, which has been invaluable experience. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and I’m excited to get started.”
Phil Dowson, the director of rugby at Saints, lauded Jim's progression and dedication. He stressed the seamless integration and synergy between Jim and the rest of the coaching staff, which has been crucial for their recent successes.
“Jim has been exceptional since joining the club. He's played a huge role in helping Radders transition into rugby union and has also done outstanding work with Bedford Blues. His ambition and diligent study of the game make him the perfect candidate to take our defence to new heights,” said Dowson.
