After playing three matches for Chennai he made a very good 96 not out in the fourth game against a team with a weak attack. Will have to look out and see whether this performance is sustained in upcoming matches.

I f in 11 innings played against Pakistan he made good scores in 3 and was substandard in 9 only an idiot would call him superb. In the 11 matches played where he was captain his team won only 3 matches, He was substandard as captain as well and I gave valid reasons for that statement as well.

Carry on - did the Proteas win any series when Klaasen was captain? Win three - lost 7 matches was his final tally.
Did Klaasen's field placings work? No he placed players who are weak defenders and catchers of balls in the wrong positions and for instance Van Biljon on his own missed two catches in two different matches that could have swung the games in favor of the Proteas. Did when bowlers failed badly he walked up and advised them how to change their approach like previous captains did regularly - no he never did once.
The fact is Klaasen was part of a Selection process that went horribly wrong when it came to team selection for games, When he batted he made acceptable scores in 3 of 10 matches played. For the rest he failed.
Wonderful how that made him superb . The Boucher- Klaasen combination was part that destroyed the team and reached the lowest level of the team performance since 1992, Boucher was part of the selection committee that selected garbage and ignore player performances sticking to selection of players who failed for years as Proteas. That caused massive damage to the Proteas teams and prove to be as bad as your two heroes Meyer and Coetzee managed to be as Springbok coaches.
