One must bear in mind that the left are basically looking for every potential method to oppress people.    Basically they admire soulmates with the same idea.   In essence their own beliefs are based on  Facsism - an alliance between the capitalists and the ruling elite especially if the ruling elite are corrupt as well.   The more oppressive the rulers are the more they are supported by the WEF as representative of the ultra-rich.    They use global warming as a war cry and when the Greens - like in Germany - become the main warmongers you know where their real loyalties lie.
