Consolation try for the ABs.
Springboks vs All Blacks Test 3 2026 Live Chat
Great won.
What a difference a fair competent ref made
Penalty so they tap, score and save a sone pride
Good comeback from the Boks in this game
ABs on the Bok line and they score . . . too late though. Taukiao the scorer.
Well done Bokke!!!
Brilliant comeback after the loss in the 1st test.
DMac converts. Final score 29-24.
Great effort by NZ to win the series but the fatal flaw of their scrum and maul required perfection in their attack….today with better Springbok wide defense crucial mistakes prevented that. They failed to use their wind advantage…. A few high balls in the 22 might have brought dividends.
In the end Love’s 2 missed kicks the difference
Libok had a great game and got the backs going.
29-24. Well done Bokke, solid win. Definitely the better tactical adjustment of the two sides, ABs pretty much tried to do the same as last week.
"Great effort by NZ to win the series"
Huh? In your dreams, Moz.
‘attempt to win the series’
I'm calling Hooker MOTM
MotM?
DDA is a contender again.
Actually I agree he had a very good game today….maybe his best international
@Mozart His best that I've seen. Not MOM it was far from perfect. The Arendse assist was the most composed I've seen him in that kind of situation. Things Andre does naturally every game.
I'd go Malcolm Marx for MotM.
How damn good was that maul try!!!
Yep, Hooker gets MOTM
Ethan Hooker is MotM, good call by the judges and good call Plum.
Hooker has an excellent rugby brain.
That maul try was the best try of the series.
Turning point of the game - Jordan's botched deep kick.
Maybe so but I think an even bigger turning point is when they lost Savea.....he is something special.
@Denny can agree with that yes.
Huge loss although Sititi played well
The ability of guys to play different positions was crucial to this win.
Pakster dry your tears and admit tbe Boks were the better team
Beensie learn to read ffs.
Hooker is closing the gap between himself and Sacha.
He's a real dawg!
Krappies was dynamic. He is a very good scrummie.
Energiser bunny awards for Dootoy & Nortie
Nortje is an unsung hero. Incredibly effort!
Kolisi our top tackler with 12
@Plom
I hope you get well soon.
I am not going to write about the game as a whole. I am going to write about individual players and show up what is really expected from players in the team.
In the first instance we had problems with the playing style of our loosies, If you look at the second try of the AB; scored by Savea - he was there when the ball-carrier was tackled and then Ardie was there to score the try, Missing totally was the SA number 8 and 6. The players who got nearest was Du Toit about 5 meters away,
This where we have some problems - we still have two loosies who are pace-deficient and lack of ball sense. Wiese are basically a deficient player in any situation when it comes to linking up/ in backline attacks,. He is pace deficient and a poor reader of where the balls are going to go when they defend and is not a linking player like Savea,.
In the first test there was a a major problem - when the Springboks was attacking 5 meters out the forwards all had White Line Fever, and Reinach added to the problem. Making dreadful forward ball losses is why the attacks failed in the first test.
None of our loosies got near that breakdown where Ardie picked it up to score, not even Du Toit. The closest forwards were Marx and Nortje. Steph and Kolisi were likely defending on the other side of the originating ruck as they're not even in the picture on the overhead shot. Wiese is furthest away of all the forwards on the scoring side of the ruck, he's never going to get there in time.

The usual Dud Toit fantasizing. Here’s Planet Rugby’s Player rating:
Pieter-Steph du Toit: Massive in the carry, busy in defence and made great decisions with the ball in hand. A key cog in a lineout that operated wonderfully too. 7
….
So the truth, he carried the ball twice ….and missed a quarter of his tackles.
Great team effort by the Bokke...Daan's guys did their job in the scrums...that penalty try was for him... Rennie should have kept his mouth shut...it came back to bite him in the arse in a big way...
