You okes know my gripes with Kolisi and it has bee like this for years. Not that he is a flashy player and can attack, does makes his tackles when the player does see him, but he is an open side flank and has never performed his job as an opensider. His body position in the ruck has always been poor, he may charge in and nudge the player or he may ride a tackle, but was blatantly obvious is how he hides around the ruck, never the first to tackle and if he does defenders go over him, he then loiters around and then shift out, avoiding contact as often as he can. Then you see Malcom Marx, Hannekom and so many other players just sticking their head in. Here is a sequence of play from Kolisi that led to the first try.

Then Nortje comes in from one side, yet Kolisi then goes in to take the hit. He has two players that already showed down the number 2 before he made contact.
He takes the hit, but instead of dominating a slowing player, he gets driven 4 meters back, not a real tackle and just rides the tackle to avoid any force.
Never puts his head over the ball to slow it down or actually tackle the player.
Simple pop pass and Kolisi are left clutching at straws.
He does this every game and we concede so much when he is at the break down. This was in the first 5 min.
To me he has always been a construct and never a real player.
As Dave use to say, a player needs a hard edge, Kolisi never had one and tricked people in believing he is a great player.
