I have bad news for dear SB. The primary election is less than a month away on 2 June 2026. So the Democrats are totally divided between the various factions from Communist to ultra-Communist sympathizers.

Newsom and his predecessors turned California into a disastrous shit pool and now the Democrats has a problem. So the candidates for nomination in the California election are as follows:-

Democrats - 8 contenders

Republicans - 2 contenders

According to opinion polls the two Republicans may win majorities in the primary elections and if they get the majority support - which is likely - there will not be a single Democrat candidate in the November election in California of all States, So the ultra-leftists you soa dm ire may lose total control in California sooner than you think

Garbage. California would be the 3rd largest economy in the world if it was its own country (Which it may well be in the coming years). They do have higher taxes, but they do have an education system and invest in future generations. That is not Communism.

The backward red states think they are capitalist (e.g. Alabama, Kansas City etc). LOL.

Snark, Commiefornia is slipping... it's the 4th largest economy on it's own ...it was never at number 3..Texas is at 8..

With a nominal Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of $2.7 trillion, Texas surpasses major global economies including Russia, Canada, and Italy. It is the second-largest economy among U.S. states, trailing only California ($4.1 trillion), which ranks 4th globally.

Finance, insurance, real estate, rental, and leasing is the largest sector in the California economy, contributing the most to the state's GDP.

The top five sectors by real value added in 2023 were:

Finance, insurance, real estate, rental, and leasing: $577.27 billion

Professional and business services: $520.55 billion

Information: $452.26 billion

Manufacturing: $351.56 billion

Government and government enterprises: $339.81 billion

While services, finance, and technology dominate the state's economic output, agriculture remains the largest in the nation by production value, with working landscapes generating approximately $404 billion in annual sales. In terms of employment, healthcare is the largest sector with 2.6 million employees, followed by retail trade (2.5 million) and professional services (2.1 million).

With some of those big tech starting to leave for Texas due to the high taxes, things are changing...

Texas are the Ireland of America, they undercut the tax rates of other states. Better than Ireland because it is not only a parasitic mode of existence - they do have their own companies as well that were formed there.

Texas is growing because it combines rapid job creation, relatively low taxes and living costs, and big inflows of people from other parts of the U.S. and abroad. These factors reinforce each other: more jobs pull in more people, which in turn fuels more business investment and housing demand.

Strong, diversified economy

  1. Texas has one of the fastest growing economies in the U.S., with large clusters in energy, technology, finance, manufacturing, and logistics.
  2. Cities like Austin, Dallas–Fort Worth, and Houston attract corporate headquarters and expansions (Tesla, Oracle, HPE, Charles Schwab, etc.), which generate high paying jobs.

Job growth and business friendly policy

  1. Texas leads the nation in job creation by many measures, and its economy alone would rank roughly as the world’s 8th?largest if it were a country.
  2. The state has no personal income tax, relatively light regulation, and a pro business environment, which pulls in both companies and workers from higher tax, higher cost states like California and New York.

Population inflow and migration

  1. Since 2020, Texas has added nearly 2.5 million residents, more than any other state, driven largely by domestic migration plus immigration.
  2. In 2024 the state gained over 500,000 people, most of them moving in for jobs, cheaper housing, and a lower overall tax burden than in many coastal states.

Housing, climate, and “soft” advantages

  1. Compared with California and other expensive coastal markets, Texas offers relatively affordable housing and more space, at least in many metro areas.
  2. Warm weather, a car oriented landscape, and a culture that emphasizes individualism and opportunity also make Texas attractive to families and younger professionals.

In short: Texas grows because it offers a lot of jobs, low taxes, cheaper housing (relative to many rivals), and a big internal and international migration wave, all layered on top of a diversified energy plus tech economy.

Companies and individuals are fleeing preposterous taxes and gross mismanagement/bureaucratic collapse in Commiefornia...Texas is not a tax haven... it's just attractive because of less governmental red tape and over regulation.

The crux....people had enough of the collectivism weighing them down like a millstone around the neck.

Have you had a Texas steak yet? I imagine that Texas is a decent place, but I would still prefer California near the sea. I see that Texas has an increasing amount of waves pools for surfers though.

I've had steak...good, but k@k expensive compared to SA ...and no better than a good SA steak ... I'm close to the ocean but the Gulf of America is underwhelming...the lakes and woods are better ...yes, esthetically California is better...like my Boland and Western Cape...Ocean, mountains and vineyards.

..pity their politics sucks...the people whose homes burned down more than a year ago still can't get permits to start rebuilding...and the homes burned down due to poor Forrest management and poor firefighting planning and resources.... shameful... that's why people are leaving...

PS, imagine being Covid vaxxed is still a requirement to work for the state roads department...pathetic...

Dim BS Shark idiot,

Lets look at why millions of people fled from California in t he past decade - most moving to States like Texas, Florida and South Carolina,

That internal migration stems from maladministration and coruption in California Government,

In surveys dealing with affordability, control of crime and maladministration in general actual people experience and poor State Governance are costing the people of California dearlym and based on all economic factors California became the most expensive State to live in.

Tae for instance the hundreds of billions in property lost in fires in 2025. There was no water in the fife hydrants for a reason the idiotic Governor could not answer, Trump offered assstance to Califon ia to imnrive he situation and the State Government promised that rebuilding would commence within a year and completed in two years time. In the year after the Los Angeles fires not a sing le house plan has been appov ed by the California -and the expected time to complete the process is now down to 20 years,

The voters also feel unhappy about the real deterioration in judicial and Police effectiveness and the free-spending Government causing massive losses to the people of California. The Califonia Government spent thus far and not a single part of the rail line between Dan Francisco and Los-Angeles

This thread is about present opinion polls in California not about the standing of the economy of California in the world. - it is about the living conditions of people in that State, Those people who could afford it has fed from California and took their businesses with them.

\

The present teams may be wrong and voting in California is open to voter fraud on a massive scale. California do not require any proof of ID from voters and has a system of vote-harvestng after election day. An example was the case of two House District results in November 2024.- where counting took 3 weeks to count 400 000 votes in each district based on votes harvested after election day aimed at ensuring a DP victory in the two districts, One calls that legalized election fraud, . , , .
