I visited Europe for six months in 1973 and saw large industrial areas in Northern France and in Germany. You saying nonsense doesn't make it so. You see you need to look beyond headline figures and stop assuming 0.5% or 0.01% or 0.005% was the effective tax rate for all multinationals in Ireland. By your logic if Ireland was only effectively charging a 0.01% corporate tax rate which resulted in Ireland posting €23.8 billion in corporate tax in 2023 the last year before the 15% minimum rate came and Ireland should really be seeing thousands of times larger corporate tax receipts you're going into some truly absurd numbers. 1,000 time alone is €23.8 trillion. The top 10 multinational companies operating (including Apple, Google, Meta, Microsoft, etc)in Ireland earned €1.51 trillion globally. Yet somehow Ireland enables tax avoidance on a scale greater than that of China's entire economy? Apple's total value is less $5 trillion where are these trillions upon trillions they should have through all he money that passed through Ireland, let alone the money they saved from not having it taxed.

Aside from which when Ireland posts it's corporate tax intake their is a strong audit trail that can be checked. It's not just trust me bro!

Ireland should not be collecting tax on another countries sales, regardless of what % is taken.
Neither of us really know how much Ireland is charging global corporations. However, if Ireland was to lose this - it would be stuffed. They would return to being the poorest European country. So we know that Ireland will continue to create new tax codes that allows them to collect tax that belongs to other countries.

The global tax system needs to be fixed. That means tax is paid to the country where the sales happened.
That is the equivalent to me paying Ireland tax instead of paying the UK where the income was generated.
