Kibbutz Yasur, north Israel

"Kibbutz Yasur is a community in northern Israel, located east of Acre in the Western Galilee under the jurisdiction of the Mateh Asher Regional Council. Established in 1949 by Jewish immigrants from Hungary (members of the Hashomer Hatzair youth movement), it was later joined by immigrants from England in 1951 and Brazil in 1956. The kibbutz is named after the seabird Yas'ur (petrel), symbolizing the founders' original aspiration to engage in fishing.

In recent years, Yasur has undergone significant economic and social transformation. After its traditional textile and toy factories closed due to unprofitability, the kibbutz launched a renewal process in 2003 that shifted it away from pure socialism toward a privatized model. This change attracted new members, particularly young families, and revitalized the community. As of 2024, the kibbutz has a population of 853.

I really don't understand the facination with Communism... it's not compatible with human nature ...or animal nature ...the road to hell is paved with good intentions...in the old days there were "Don't feed the Baboons" signs at all the mountain passes and lookouts...for a good reason...in general people are the same as a troop of baboons ..ask any parent with a few kids in the house.
