…..there’s many a slip between the cup and the lip, but yesterday Tubio looked like a man who could rub the country. Articulate, very detailed, educated, tough minded….funny. The reporters were clearly enjoying the exchange of views and there was a sense neither Rubio who was clearly enjoying himself or his audience seemed to want the session to end.

Add to that the undoubted benefit of a person with Latin American roots who could switch smoothly into Spanish and you have a strong candidate. The effect of all that immigration the Dems have enabled could be partly undone by a Rubio candidacy. And the man is miles ahead of the Dem candidates in terms of global experience.

Here’s a brief excerpt:

Reporters without assigned seats packed the side aisles of the briefing room hours before the briefing began to secure a prime spot. Rubio appeared to choose reporters at random, mentioning what color they were wearing.

“I need a laser pointer!” he said when he pointed at a reporter and a different one would jump in with a question.

As he did in his days on Capitol Hill, Rubio repeatedly reached for popular, if dated, rap lyrics. He called the leaders of Iran “insane in the brain,” a reference to a Cypress Hill hip-hop song, and later said Tehran needs to “check themselves before they wreck themselves,” referencing Ice Cube.

A much better option than J.D Trans, which is owned by Peter Thiel

The general perception of politicians is very low in the West, compared to 20-30 years ago.

Many believe that politicians represent billionaires more than the Democratic majority.

The UK wants to get rid of Starmer, but the problem is, does a replacement exist who could be better or worse? Worse certainly, better remains to be seen.

Donald Trump has three more years to go. It is so early, so many things can happen.

"One decent candidate among a muppeteering array of incompetent sycophants."

There are others...the left has Newsom, Mamdani and AOC...all poor choices with poor track records...

Hopefully Stephen A knocks some sense into the lefties.

I would prefer Rubio as RP candidate. However, the deciding factor is who will Trump support as Party candidate.
